WhatsApp is one of the most popularly used instant messaging service worldwide. The app is being used by more than two billion people globally. The meta-owned app undergoes yearly updates that result in the termination of support for older Android and iOS operating systems as well as some old smartphones devices.

According to reports, starting this week, some Android and iPhone devices will no longer support WhatsApp. As from December 31, 2022, WhatsApp will stop providing support for some of the older smartphone models.

Due to the fact that they are using old Android smartphones with outdated operating systems, millions of WhatsApp users will discover that their accounts have been suspended.

Anyone who believes they could be in luck should try updating there  to the latest Android version available. The only alternative left for the others is to go out and get a new phone.

There are only a few days left in the year 2022, and it’s important to note that starting December 31st, WhatsApp will no longer work on the following devices.
