Types Of Network Cables

The second most common network cable is fibre optic cabling. This cabling is preferred when high bandwidths are required such as in hospitals, airports and banks as it is capable of sending huge volumes of data quickly and accurately.
Coaxial cable is also a commonly used network cable and consists of copper wiring with metal shielding to limit interference. It can transmit data over long distances and at much higher speeds than twisted pair cabling.
