The most important thing a student can do is perform a comprehensive review of the topics tested in the certification exam. The Security+ exam covers a wide range of cybersecurity concepts to build a strong foundation for your career. Some domains are weighted more heavily than others, but all five are important:

- Architecture and design
- Implementation
- Operations and incident response
- Governance, risk and compliance
Along with learning exam content, it helps to become familiar with the exam structure and outline. You’ll want to practice answering the performance-based and traditional questions you’ll face on the exam.
